Rhode Home Rescue specializes in rescuing dogs from unhealthy situations – be it kill shelters, incapable owners, and surrenders – and finding them the furever homes they deserve. At Rhode Home, we fully believe that adopting a rescue not only save them, but saves you too!
Rhode Home Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose volunteers have many years of rescue experience. Our mission is to identify and rescue all types of dogs from overwhelmed euthanasia shelters and abusive situations and place them in secure, loving homes. We are a foster-based program, consisting of all volunteers, and have decided to branch out on our own in order to fulfill our mission.
Prior to a Rhode Home Rescue dog being adopted, each dog undergoes an examination by a veterinarian, is updated on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. At Rhode Home Rescue we firmly believe that a healthy, well trained dog is the key to the successful integration of a rescued dog and ensures a wonderful, loving companion for years to come.
The average cost to rescue a dog in 2012 was $720. Rhode Home Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and 100% of donations and fees are used for the rescue and care of these dogs!

We Love Rhode Home Rescue. We had looked at other "rescues" and felt like no one was interesting in helping our family, that wanted to help a dog find it's forever home. Two weeks ago, Daisy, AKA, Miss Beans, found her way home to us! Our experience with Rhode Home Rescue has been amazing! Dina and Stacey are pretty amazing people with an amazing love for all dogs. Thank you for all that you do. Thank You, for our sweet Daisy! xoxo
Rhode Home Rescue is an amazing shelter! My fiancé and I got our wonderful dog, Sally, from them back in August. Being my first dog, I had a ton of questions which Dina was all too happy to answer. She also put be in contact with Linda our dog trainer who did a great job helping us train her. I am so grateful for all Rhode Home Rescue did in getting me Sally!
My family adopted from Rhode Home Rescue, and our experience was absolutely wonderful! Throughout the entire application process, the volunteers at the rescue could not have been more helpful. Upon our awaited meeting day, the volunteers as well as the foster family were so extremely kind with the whole process. My family would absolutely recommend this rescue to anyone looking to add a furry addition to their home!
Pictured is our first dog, a 5 year old male black lab named Simba. Our newest addition (5 months when we got her, now 8 months old), a female boxer terrier mix named Nala.
It was a pleasure working with Rhode Home Rescue to find our next family member. We adopted a labra-dane mix who we've named Maggie and who fits right into the family! After searching for a couple of weeks, we felt most comfortable dealing with RHR and their outstanding staff of foster parents who graciously volunteer their homes to these animals in need. Thank you Rhode Home Rescue!
